PetroTel's Dr. Ram Agarwal is the 2010 recipient of SPE Honorary Membership

Dr Ram will be honoured during the SPE Annual Banquet to be held on Tuesday evening, 21 September 2010. The Annual Banquet is a featured event during the Society's Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition in Florence, Italy.

Dr. Ram Agarwal is a Distinguished Engineering Advisor and Vice President Gas Engineering with PetroTel in the areas of gas reservoir engineering and pressure transient testing and analysis methods.Ram has made major contributions to the Petroleum Industry through his publications.

He introduced the concept of slug tests and also provided first methodology to evaluate reservoir and fracture parameters for massive hydraulically fractured low permeability gas wells. His paper on decline curves and type curves provides technology to estimate reserves and to determine reservoir and well parameters. This technology has now become common place in the petroleum industry.
